Since 1959, Hong Kong Christian Council had been concerned about the relationship between church in Hong Kong and the industrial world. Therefore, Hong Kong Christian Industrial Committee was founded to assist churches in Hong Kong to adapt to the rapid changes in the local industrial society and provide mission for workers. The following article will discuss the development and changes of HKCIC over time and analyse its distinctive position and role in Hong Kong churches and society. The irreplaceability of HKCIC will be illustrated.
